Investigations continue into the alleged murder of a Sigatoka elderly couple whose bodies were found several days after their tragic deaths.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said no arrests had been made in the alleged murder of Sesha Reddy and wife, Mirdu Chandra.
The couple’s bodies were found on the morning of February 2 by an employee.
According to close family friend Abhinesh Singh, the couple were alone in their four-bedroom house before the incident occurred.
He said he had last seen them a few days before Tropical Cyclone Ana struck Fiji.
Meanwhile, the post-mortem examination on a former police officer found floating in the Ba River earlier this week has been completed.
Ms Naisoro confirmed the victim died from drowning.
The body was found by Amex Resources Ltd workers on Monday morning.
