As a contestant of the Vodafone Tebara Carnival, Natasha Nishrant Nisha plans to advocate on the important roles that ambulance services play in society.
“The reason I chose this topic is that I want people to know how the ambulance services provide their services to the people,” she said.
As Miss Pak and Save, the 23-year-old medical staffer of Bula Ambulance Fiji was inspired by seeing contestants on social media and on television.
“I very much wanted to be a part of that world, so when I did get the opportunity I chose to be a part of the Tebara Festival,” she said.
Ms Nisha said she chose to go into the medical field because she was inspired by her parents. As a result, she obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the Fiji National University.
“My father is my biggest inspiration and whatever I do, I look up to him.
“I’m not forgetting my mother as she was also there, sacrificing her late night sleep when I was studying.”
Her advice is that people should respect their elders and try their best in everything they do.
“You can do whatever you want as long as you are willing,” she said.
