Fiji Airways has confirmed that nine international flights will operate under revised schedules today as the airline continues to recover from recent disruptions to its services after the failure of runway lights at Nadi airport.
In a travel alert issued today, the national carrier said recovery of scheduled services remains ongoing, with adjustments made to long-haul and regional flights to reposition aircraft and crews.
Flights affected include services between Nadi and Los Angeles, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Flight FJ810 from Nadi to Los Angeles will depart at 10.00am, after originally being scheduled to operate on Sunday 11 January.
Services to Australia have also been rescheduled. FJ911 from Nadi to Sydney will depart at 10.00am, with FJ910 from Sydney to Nadi leaving at 3.00pm.
Flights between Nadi and Brisbane, FJ921 and FJ920, will depart at 8.50am and 12.20pm respectively.
Melbourne services have also been adjusted, with FJ935 from Nadi to Melbourne departing at 9.00am, while FJ934 from Melbourne to Nadi will leave at 2.55pm.
A supplementary flight, FJ1934, will depart Melbourne at 10.00am, replacing a service that was scheduled for Sunday.
Fiji Airways confirmed that Fiji Link domestic services are operating normally, although minor changes may be made to maintain passenger connections.
The airline said its teams are in direct contact with all affected passengers to provide assistance and updated travel arrangements.
Fiji Airways reiterated that the safety of its passengers and crew remains its highest priority and thanked travellers for their patience and understanding as recovery efforts continue.
