The National Fire Authority (NFA) rescued two children from a flooded area in Naidiridiri Settlement, Wainibuku today.
NFA said the Nakasi team received a call at 7:54am.
Officers arrived at the scene led by Station Officer Epeli Roko and found the crossing in Naidiridiri Settlement submerged.
“They safely assisted the children across the flooded area and escorted them to their grandparents, while the parents remained to secure their home,” said NFA.
“The NFA urges residents in flood-affected areas to call 910 for rescue emergencies.”
