Speedster Kolora Lomani will be looking to add to her try-tally as the Fijiana 15s team gear up to face Scotland in its second pool match of the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup in England.

Lomani scored Fiji’s lone try in its opening match against Canada last Sunday, getting the 4800 fans in attendance to their feet.

The 26-year-old who represented Fiji at the 2021 WRWC and the Olympic Games in 2023 came in as a replacement in their 7-65 loss.

“It’s always hard to get the first game out of the way. We always knew Canada was going to be a tough game for us, but we’ve already put our best foot forward. Hopefully that will help us build for the next game.

“Starting from the first whistle until the end, I feel like we held in there. We fought to the end, so really, proud of the girls.

“It (the try) came from the hard work from the team in the middle. The forwards had done the hard work, and as a wing, we always love to be supporting up in the middle. So, to get that first try felt amazing.

“We just have to work on our little details with our attack and defence, and we just must look into the game and see what we must improve on,” she said.
