New US envoy to Fiji looks forward to constructive relationships

NEWLY-appointed United States ambassador to Fiji Joseph Cella says he is looking forward to working constructively with the people of Fiji and the other nations covered by Embassy Suva and their leadership on matters of prime importance.

The new diplomat to Fiji and the Pacific made this remark at a press conference in Suva today, where he also introduced his family – his wife Kristen and their children – Francesca, John Paul, Dominic, Rita Rose, Mariana, Anthony, and Joseph.

“The United States enjoys robust and longstanding relationships with Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga and Tuvalu,” Mr Cella said.

“In my service as United States Ambassador, we will build new bridges while enhancing and preserving existing ones.”
