Several changes to the Amalgamated Telecom Holdings’ Board have been announced over the past week.
Namely, the appointment of three new directors and the resignation of board director Umarji Musa effective March 1, 2023.
Daksesh Patel, Joe Taoi and Attar Singh have been appointed as directors in place of Kalpana Lal, Taito Waqa and Pravinesh Singh.
All appointments are effective from March 3, 2023.
Mr Patel is the chairman of the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) and is a board director of InfraBuild, Australia’s largest vertically integrated long steel manufacturer, as well as a member of the global LIBERTY Steel Group Board.
He is also a member of the Vinod Patel Group. Mr Taoi is an industry expert who has 30 years of experience in the international shipping, warehouse and distribution, supply chain management and trade facilitation adviser.
He is the founder of Freight Services (Fiji), a family owned logistic and moving company.
He was actively involved in establishment of the Fiji Indigenous Business Council.
He was also instrumental in the planning, designing and implementation of the private sector body, the Fiji Export Council (FEC).
Mr Singh is the general secretary of Fiji Longshoremen and Staff Association and the industrial relations adviser for the National Union of Municipal Workers and Fiji Airline Pilots Association.
Mr Singh is a board member of Fiji National Provident Fund, the National Occupational Safety and Health Advisory Board and the Employment Relations Advisory Board.
