THE new specialised survey vessel RFNS Volasiga has arrived in the country.
This was confirmed by Fiji Navy head of operations Commander Timoci Natuva this afternoon.
He said the vessel that made its voyage from South Korea was now berthed at the Stanley Brown Naval Base in Walu Bay, Suva, after arriving last week.
He said the vessel would be commissioned next Thursday.
In an earlier interview, Commander Natuva said the vessel would boost the work conducted by the Fiji Hydrographic Office.
