NUKU’ALOFA – Le’o ‘o Tonga 88.1 FM is the newest radio station in Nuku’alofa which began last week operated by Taimi Media Network in Kolotmotu’a.
Kalafi Moala runs the radio station which is the sixth local FM, broadcasting mainly news bulletin, interviews and talkback programs in Tongan.
He said the radio which covers Tongatapu and Eua was intended to become a mainstream radio station for information, news and talkback programs.
“Our news bulletin is only in Tongan now but we will have English news too, Another program running is the talatalanoa or talk back on national issues from politics, social, community or development. I also host interviews of candidates who are intending to run in the upcoming General Election if they come and pay for time.”
