FIJI Water founder and the man behind the secluded and exclusive Wakaya Club and Spa and Wakaya Perfection, David Gilmour, will introduce kava to his successful line of products.
This will add to his already renowned 100 per cent organic rare pink ginger hand-cultivated in the high-nutrient, virgin volcanic soil of Wakaya Island.
The kava product will be launched in Fiji next month and will be expected to hit the world shelves after its launch in November this year.
Mr Gilmour said kava had been a staple of the South Pacific and had a long history with the nations.
“With the right kava, aged kava and pure kava you get the result of losing anxiety, one of the good stress relievers. It comes in powder and capsules.
“I think it’s going to be quite an interesting package for people all over the world who would like good and quality kava.
“The kava is from various provinces carefully selected for quality, age and then retreated with the Wakaya protection and powdering so there is nothing but the purest interior of the root and not the skin, twigs or leaves.”
In terms of the health, he said, kava was stopped from being exported a few years back but later proved to have scientific benefits to relieve stress.
He said the product would be available at TappooCity in Suva.
