In preparation for Diwali this year, the Bhikhabhai and Company Ltd team has been researching ways to enhance quality and service for its customers.

As a result, the company has launched their new foil packaging for overseas orders.

Using independent test labs abroad, the company found that foil packaging helps provide greater shelf life for sweets to allow people to enjoy the same freshness for up to 40 days from the date of packaging.

With the COVID-19 pandemic understandably dampening spirits, Diwali has not been the same, but the company believes customers this year will be rejoicing in the festivities as before and the management and team envision an increased demand.

According to the company, an overwhelming response was received from Fijians living in New Zealand when Bhikhabhai partnered with Panpac Distributors Ltd to deliver their sweet packs to Indian stores in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch along with selected PAK’nSAVE stores.

Bhikhabhai’s local partners Motibhai and Company Ltd, through their Prouds Duty-Free shop at Nadi International Airport, added the selected range of foil-packed sweets to their existing range of ziplock snacks.

Jayesh Lad, executive director of the Bhikhabhai Group said: “We recognise that Diwali is unimaginable without sweets.

During this time, every tray is decked with laddu and every nook of the house is filled with boxes of barfi. We thrive to always provide our customers the ease of access to our products.

In doing so, we have recently opened a shop in Suva beside Village 6 and we will soon be opening our sixth shop in Labasa in Damodar Labasa City.”

The Bhikhabhai management and team are ready to serve their customers this Diwali and extend their heartfelt wishes for a Happy Diwali to all Fijians.
