Another two-storey building worth $3.9million will be constructed at Queen Victoria School in Tailevu.

Ambassador of Indonesia to Fiji Benyamin Carnadi made the comment during the commissioning of the school’s two new dormitories on Friday.

Since 2016, the Government of Indonesia has been funding the construction of buildings that were severely damaged by Tropical Cyclone Winston at QVS.

Mr Carnadi said it would be a long-term building, to be utilised by many generations.

“By mid-year we will begin the new phase of the building, and it will be completed by the end of the year,” he said.

“This will be for classrooms, computer labs and rooms for teachers.”

Mr Carnadi said he hoped the new facilities would motivate the students.

“They are back in school, I hope the facilities will bring them new spirits as they are no longer having online learning.”

Mr Carnadi said students at QVS should keep up their education performance.
