Exciting matches unfolded on Saturday at the Suva Rugby Union club games competition, held at Albert Park in Suva.

A highlight of the day was Navy’s impressive defense of the Mosese Taga Shield, securing a 36-20 victory over Lami Cavaliers.

This win showcased Navy’s dominance in the Escott Shield competition, maintaining their strong performance throughout the season.

Despite a three-week break, Navy displayed remarkable composure and resilience against Lami, known for their fast-paced, sevens-style gameplay.

Navy manager Kaminieli Naiqisa praised the team’s hard woRK.

“It was a very tough match, this game tested our fitness as a team, and also credit to the boys for their hard work.”

He also commended the team’s fitness which allowed them to play the full 80 minutes and overcome a determined Lami side.
