Navua FC battled to a 2-1 win over Tavua FC in Round 16 of the Extra Premier League at Garvey Park on Saturday, a result that lifted them back into fourth place on the table.

Simione Damuni opened the scoring for Navua before Filipe Baravilala doubled their advantage to put the visitors in control.

Tavua fought back through Esala Raloka, who pulled one back to ignite hopes of a comeback.

Despite Tavua’s late pressure, Navua’s defence stood tall to protect their lead and secure all three points. The victory pushes Navua to 25 points, boosting their bid for a strong finish in the closing rounds of the season.
