Three tertiary students have been remanded in custody for 14 days over the alleged murder of a 30-year-old man in Suva.
Alexander Vatia Leweniqila, 19, Manoa Vakavunivalu, 19, and Aisake Lovobalavu, 20, appeared before the Suva Magistrate’s Court yesterday charged with the death of Jone Vuinakelo.
They have been ordered to reappear on March 27.
The matter is expected to be transferred to the High Court as murder is an indictable offence.
Police allege the victim was found at Nauluvatu Settlement on Sunday, March 15, with severe facial injuries.
No plea was taken.
