Natural ways to get rid of insects in your home

GETTING rid of creepy, crawly insects and bugs can be a hassle sometimes especially when they never seem to go away.

Finding the right type of chemical or spray to stop these from manifesting further can be a difficult and daunting task.

Some insect repellents do work and these often keep the insects, roaches and bugs at bay. Other chemicals only work temporarily so you will probably need to commit to using these every so often to get rid of the crawly invaders.

On a nice sunny day, taking your beddings and household items that are likely to house irritating parasitic insects such as bed bugs is a great idea if you want to get rid of those quickly without using chemicals.

Throwing out really old, ripped sofas that house those bed bugs might also be good and it could give you the chance to do some home makeover, explore your skills in interior design and get that brand new sofa you’ve always wanted.

Ants. Well, they’re usually all over the place in most homes and sometimes you just can’t help it especially when you eventually trace their marching lines back to the back yard or a nearby tree. They are a very persistent lot of insects. Quite harmless but an eyesore when you find them lurking about small holes you just can’t quite seem to reach.

Fear not, a good rub down and a bit of cleaning might do the trick to keep these ants at bay. It’s amazing what you can find on the internet these days too. Some simple natural remedies can also work rather than buying really expensive chemicals and repellents.

One floating about on the web is using cucumber peels or slices in the kitchen or at the entry points where the little crawlies usually march in and out. It’s supposed to keep the ants away, one person used this method and discovered the ants died instead.

But a quick call to a pest control company in Fiji revealed a simple way to get rid of cockroaches, rats, ants and bugs.

The solution. Clean your house.

Give your home a good clean, inside and out. Throw away items collecting dust and cobwebs that you don’t need. Keep your food stuff safely packed away in airtight containers or inside your pantry.

You’ll eventually see the difference when your house is clean, tidy and hygienic.
