National pride

National pride

So our national flag has survived being put away in the closet for good yet again, much to the delight of patriotic Fijians here and abroad and will be flown, draped and waved with pride at local and international sporting events as usual, and to a larger extent will still flutter at our diplomatic missions abroad as well as every other rooftop and civil institutions here in Fiji.

The noble banner blue with its unique design and colour, mirrored on our colonial past,

has drawn an air of invincibility and will always be a symbol of hope and freedom for our

young and resilient nation with its rich ethnic and cultural diversity and let’s hope it

flies on for generations to come.
