With just five rounds remaining in the Extra Super Premier League, title contenders Labasa and Rewa face critical tests this weekend as the race tightens at the top of the table.
Despite the looming Battle of the Giants (BOG) tournament, there will be no break in league action as matches continue across the country this weekend, offering no respite for teams chasing silverware.
Current league leaders Labasa will host Navua at Subrail Park on Saturday at 1.30pm.
With a narrow points margin separating the top contenders, the Babasiga Lions will need to be at their best against a Navua side capable of upsets.
Simultaneously, Nasinu will meet Nadi at the Fiji FA Academy Grounds in Suva at 1pm, with both sides eager to gather momentum heading into BOG.
The pressure builds on Sunday, as Rewa, also in strong contention for the title, face a tough test against Ba at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori at 3pm.
Rewa, known for their discipline and flair, will have to dig deep against a Ba outfit keen to regain form and pride.
Also on Sunday:
Nadroga v Suva at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka (1pm)
Lautoka v Tavua at Churchill Park, Lautoka (1pm)
With the BOG tournament starting next weekend, this packed league schedule ensures top teams remain in competitive rhythm, but also means there’s no room for error.
For Labasa and Rewa, every point counts as the season races toward its dramatic finish.
