MATELITA Vuakoso Natavo is aiming to make it big in the sport of soccer in Fiji and abroad.
The introvert former Labasa women’s soccer goalkeeper says while her studies come as a priority, her passion for soccer is still intact.
This newspaper caught up with her during her 21st birthday celebration at her Laucala Village in Wailevu west, Cakaudrove last weekend.
Natavo said soccer was also a part of her life.
The Lautoka FNU campus student said during her visit to the North this festive season, she took time out to meet her former team- mates in Labasa.
She said she was always prepared to represent Fiji abroad.
Sharing her experience so far, she said the sport had brought out the best in her and also exposed her talents and skills to the outside world.
Natavo added she was grateful to her parents despite their upbringing and struggles -— a contributing factor to her achievements so far.
She said she would continue to prove herself not only in soccer but also her studies.
Natavo represented Fiji in the Pacific Games to New Caledonia in 2011.
