The Nasinu Secondary School first IV rugby team will fly the national banner at the prestigious Abu Dhabi World Schools Festival.
The school is making history as the first Fijian school to be invited to the global sporting event.
It will be held on December 14-20 at the Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Hub.
The festival is a global sporting event that brings together the best schools to compete in rugby, cricket, and netball.
This year football will be making its debut in the competition.
The official announcement was made on the tournament’s social media platform, where the organisers’ of the global event expressed their excitement in welcoming the Nasinu first IV team as the first ever Fijian side to participate at the event.
The team were runners-up to Ratu Kadavulevu in the 2025 Super Deans competition.
More than a dozen of their players currently playing for the Serua U20 team in the Vanua Trophy competition.
This historic feat will greatly benefit our Fijian school sports as it offers a new platform for our young athletes to showcase their passion and athletic skills not just in rugby but in football, netball, and cricket.
