FOR Munro Leys, one of Fiji’s oldest law firms, supporting events such as the Namosi Challenge through the Suva Marathon Club serves as a reminder of the firm’s commitment to community health and well-being.
The firm has always participated in the event over the years and this time around it plans to continue doing so, according to the firm’s representative Melissa Harm.
“Munro Leys remains committed to supporting the Suva Marathon and will be participating again this year,” Harm stated.
“It’s an event we look forward to every year and we’re always excited to be a part of it.
“Munro Leys has been a proud sponsor and partner of the Suva Marathon Club since its inception in 2014.”
The firm has also extended a helping hand to the marathon through financial sponsorships to employees participating in the races as well.
“Our staff have also volunteered on race day, including helping at water stations to support the runners,” she highlighted.
With a wide-reaching network, the firm has also extended word about the marathon in the hopes that members of the public are engaged with the event.
The marathon is also a platform where conversations on healthy lifestyles and one’s well-being arise, and the firm has used it as an avenue in which its staff and their families can interact outside the office in a meaningful manner.
“Our involvement in the Suva Marathon has helped promote a healthier lifestyle both within our firm and our families,” she said.
“It has given us a platform to support an event that brings together people from all walks of life in the name of fitness and fun. It’s also been a great way to engage with our community outside the office in a meaningful and energetic way.”
On behalf of the firm, she thanked the Suva Marathon Club for their work in organising events such as the marathon and acknowledging the awe-inspiring nature that the race imparted on all that participate in it.
“It’s been inspiring to witness the growing popularity of the marathon and the positive energy it brings to the community.
“We’re honoured to continue this journey together.”
