Naiyaga takes oath to ensure continuity at Higher Education Commission

Ms Rokobua Naiyaga this morning took her Oath of Office before the Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro, formally beginning her tenure as Chair of the Higher Education Commission Fiji (HECF).

In congratulating Ms Naiyaga, Minister Radrodro stressed that the appointment was made promptly to ensure there was no disruption to the Commission’s governance and oversight responsibilities.

The Minister reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to strengthening education delivery, particularly through the expansion and quality enhancement of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, which continues to benefit from increased scholarships and funding support.

He also encouraged the Commission to further strengthen its monitoring and quality assurance functions to uphold excellence across Fiji’s tertiary education landscape.

Minister Radrodro expressed confidence that Ms Naiyaga’s leadership will advance the quality, integrity and global competitiveness of higher education in Fiji, and wished her every success in her new role.

Ms Naiyaga’s appointment takes immediate effect.
