One new club has joined the NewWorld Suva Netball Association for the 2025 season.
The association opened its competitive season last weekend, welcoming Naila Flyers Netball Club to its netball family.
Naila Flyers secretary Kali Nakelo said that joining Suva would mean getting quality competitions from some of the best netball players in the country.
“We are moving to Suva Netball this year because we want our players to improve their knowledge and skills of the sport and the only way to do that is to expose them to better leagues,” she said.
Naila now joins the likes of Lomaiviti, CBM, Rovers, Tiki, Tagimoucia, Grasshoppers, Ablaze Hearts, Huva Stallions, Army and Team CAN.
The opening knockout was played in three grades including the open women, open men and development.
Lomaiviti won the open women’s and development grades while Tiki took out the open men’s grade.
Suva Netball president Alumeci Sachs acknowledged all the club presidents and officials for their continued support, adding that the 2025 season is already looking bigger and better.
