DESPITE being down with sickness for two weeks, Nadi-based boxer Ronald Naidu is confident of a good outing against John Krishna Chotka Jr in the Kiran Boxing Promotion main supporting bout.
The 25-year-old yesterday revealed he was sick for two weeks and later fully recovered to battle against the Australian-based boxer.
He said the sickness would not stop him from giving his best and to win the bout.
“I was sick for two weeks but I won’t use this as an excuse,” said Naidu.
“I have fully recovered and I am ready for this big opportunity.”
Naidu said his opponent was an experienced boxer but he had a plan mapped out for the fight.
“He is a good fighter and more experienced than me. I respect him but in the ring anything can happen and I am looking forward to maintain my unbeaten run.”
Meanwhile a total of 13 fights will be held in the program with tickets selling at $15 and $20 ringside.
