KPMG Fiji head of Audit & Fiji Dynamix (FDX) Sharvek Naidu has been appointed the new managing partner KPMG Fiji.

Mr Naidu will succeed Lisa Apted who has led KPMG Fiji as managing partner since 2020. He started his career as a graduate in KPMG’s Lautoka office in December 1997 before migrating to Australia in late 2001 where he joined KPMG Australia’s Parramatta office. According to KPMG Fiji, Mr Naidu is being recognised for empowering teams and delivering exceptional value to clients across Fiji and the Pacific, and in Australia where he spent 15 years.

KPMG Australia national managing partner Mid-Market & Private Naomi Mitchell said with more than 25 years of experience, Mr Naidu was known for building trusted client relationships, driving strategic growth and fostering a culture of collaboration and ethical excellence.

“He is dedicated to understanding client needs and delivering innovative solutions,” Ms Mitchell said.

“For the past 10 years, Sharvek has supported KPMG Fiji’s audit and assurance practice through significant growth. That included the successful establishment and scaling of the FDX delivery centre which supports KPMG Australia with a workforce of approximately 200 professionals.”

Mr Naidu said it was an honour to be following in Ms Apted’s footsteps. He said he looked forward to building on the recent successes of KPMG Fiji and to assisting clients and staff.

“I feel proud to take on this leadership position in the next step of my career having joined KPMG Fiji in 1997 as a graduate, moving to KPMG Australia in late 2001, and becoming a Partner in 2016,” Mr Naidu said.

The Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants (FICA) president also brought strong global experience having been a director of KPMG Global Services Delhi, India where he pioneered the setup of an offshoring practice for KPMG Australia during his three-year secondment there in 2012. “In accepting this important role, I also want to acknowledge the vital role of Sanjeeta Singh, my wife, and our two children for their great support.

“Sanjeeta gave up her job in 2016 to support the family while I took on the KPMG partnership. She is now managing our children’s education with the family living in Australia, while I manage work from Fiji, commute between the two countries, and balance my family commitments.”

Mr Naidu holds a Bachelor of Arts (Financial Accounting & Management and Economics) from USP. He is a fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a chartered account for FICA, and practicing certificates – FICA and the Institute of Solomon Islands Accountant. He serves as trustee and director on several not-for-profit and educational boards, actively contributing to community development, health and education initiatives.
