CODE 3D led to Alasio Naduva’s supersonic ridiculous try against Japan during the Sydney 7s in Australia at the weekend.

The try, which was scored in less than seven seconds, would most likely be a contender for Try of the Year in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

The kick-off code 3D had Terio Tamani, from the kick-off, sending the ball deep into the opposition territory.

The Japanese defenders let the ball go given how far the ball had gone and it seemed destined to bounce over the dead-ball line for a 22 metre dropout before Naduva bolted past the entire Japanese side to touch down in a spectacular somersault fashion just shy of the dead-ball mark.

“I was sure that I was going to score the try because I chased so hard,” Naduva said.
