NADROGA Rugby president Jiuta Waqavonovono says the side will maintain its approach as it prepares for a crucial Round Eight Skipper Cup clash against table leaders Nadi at Prince Charles Park in Nadi today.
Nadroga goes into the match sitting second on the points table, with Nadi leading the competition.
Waqavonovono said there had been no major changes to the team’s preparation following last weekend’s match against Malolo.
“The strategy against Malolo was to play fast rugby, and that was it.”
With Nadi currently occupying top spot, Waqavonovono said the significance of the match was clear for his team.
“Everybody wants to win and we are going into this Round Eight match to win,” he said.
He added that discipline and execution would remain key components of Nadroga’s game plan, with the team determined not to stray from its established approach.
Waqavonovono also highlighted the importance of building depth within the squad as the competition reaches its crucial stages.
The Nadroga president is confident the team will put on a strong performance against Nadi and has urged supporters to turn out in numbers.
“For the Nadroga supporters, they know that Nadroga will be playing a good game this Saturday,” he said.
“They should come and watch the game. They will not be disappointed because we will be putting up a very good game.”
Nadroga will face the McDonald’s Nadi this Saturday at Prince Charles Park.
Games will kick off at 11.30am for the Subrails Marama Cup followed by the Skipper Cup U20 at 1.30pm and the Skipper Cup Senior at 3.30pm.
