THE Nadi football team yesterday belted Rewa 4-nil in the 2019 Vodafone Premier League challenge at the international standard turf at the Uprising Beach Resort.
Tito Vodowaqa was the star of the match after he managed to score two goals in the much anticipated game.
The side dominated throughout the game and displayed great footballing skills.
The Delta Tigers after numerous attempts to at least score a goal for their side proved futile in the whole 40 minutes of play.
Nadi’s Rusiate Matarerega and Patrick Joseph had also contributed to the teams win after they managed a goal each. Meanwhile, in another exciting match the Kamal Swammy-coached Suva side defeated Lautoka 1-0.
The lone goal for the Capital City side was scored by the captain of the team Rusiate Matarerega.
The side had managed to keep the Sugar City based team off their territory after they were hungry for a goal to at least respond to the lone goal scored by Matarerega.
It remained like this until the last whistle blow.
