Nadi lodges protest over suspended Navua player after EPL loss

Listen to this article:

The Nadi football side has lodged a protest against Navua for fielding a suspended player in yesterday’s 2-5 loss in the Extra Premier League match.

An official from Nadi has confirmed the protest being lodged with Fiji FA.

Navua fielded a suspended player in yesterday’s match, who was not eligible to participate.

The player was subbed off at halftime.

The list of suspended players are sent to districts, usually on Tuesday’s of every match week.

If the protest is awarded to Nadi, they could move up on the points standings which could secure them a spot at next week’s IDC.

As the points table stands, Nadi is out of IDC. Fiji FA is expected to comment on this matter later today.
