NADI Football Association president Navneeda Gounder has decided to call it a day from administrating the district.
Gounder, who returned as president in 2013 after more than a decade, is not seeking re-election.
The association’s general congress will be held next Monday. Gounder, who will turn 60 soon said he had decided to spend more time with his family.
The former Nadi and national rep said he had done his part upon his return as president.
Gounder said under his leadership Nadi had progressed well with a good development program.
“It is time to retire and time for the young generation to take over,” he said.
“There are capable people to take over the presidency role. If the Nadi officials need any support I will be there to help them.”
Gounder played for Nadi from 1978 to 1984. He represented the nation as a mid-fielder from 1979 to 1981.
Gounder was previously president of the association from 1996 to 2002.
