Fijian rugby sevens star Waisea Nacuqu is quickly making waves in the Rugby Premier League in India, showcasing his trademark flair and skill.

Now playing for the Mumbai Dreamers, Nacuqu has earned the nickname ‘Wasooli Bhai’, a sign of the impact he’s already having among fans and teammates.

In the tournament opener, Nacuqu delivered an impressive individual performance despite his team falling short against the Chennai Bulls, 17-31.

He scored a try and set up two others, earning him the Player of the Match accolade for Mumbai.

The Dreamers are guided by seasoned Australian coach Tim Walsh, with Jerry Tuwai, Fiji’s double Olympic gold medalist, leading the side as captain.
