The popular Nacula 7s tournament will return this year despite not being included in the Fiji Bitter 7s Series for the 2025 season.
Yasawa Rugby president Mosese Susu confirmed that while the tournament was not part of the national series this year, plans are well underway to bring the Nacula 7s back in November.
“Nacula 7s was not part of the Fiji Bitter 7s Series this year, but we are glad that we are now looking for sponsors,” Susu said.
“One thing is for sure, the Nacula 7s will be back in November this year.
Susu said the tournament remains popular among teams and rugby supporters, with many already looking forward to its return.
“Teams will definitely be looking forward to that,” he said.
Rugby action in Nacula will continue in the coming weeks, with the Tamaya 7s set to be hosted on the island next week as part of ongoing efforts to keep rugby active in Yasawa.
In addition, the Yasawa/Lautoka match officials 7s will be held this week as a fundraising initiative to support match officials from both Yasawa and Lautoka.
