Muslims around the world celebrated Eid yesterday, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

National Federation Party leader and former deputy prime minister Professor Biman Prasad said the occasion was a time to reflect on values that promote unity, compassion and justice.

“As we mark Eid, we are reminded of the enduring values of compassion, humility, sacrifice, and justice,” he said.

“These are not just spiritual ideals. They are principles that speak to how we treat one another, how we lead, and how we build a nation that is fair and inclusive for all.”

Prof Prasad said in uncertain times, the spirit of Eid encouraged people to support those in need and remain guided by integrity.
