The three-week trial of an 18-year-old man charged with the murder of 20-year-old Sharuf Shaakir Khan has been vacated.
The case was called before Justice Daniel Goundar at the High Court in Suva today.
The court heard that Rihaal Kumar is currently undergoing a second psychiatric evaluation at St Giles Hospital.
Mr Kumar is accused of killing Khan at an apartment complex on Waimanu Road on July 7, 2025.
He is represented by lawyer Robert Bancod of Millbrook Hills Law, while lawyer Bhavna Kantharia appeared for the prosecution.
