Munn to head HFC

ROSS Munn is the new incoming CEO for HFC Bank.

Mr Munn will be replacing outgoing CEO Isikeli Tikoduadua after June 30.

Mr Tikoduadua will retire after working in the banking industry for 40 years.

Mr Tikoduadua has extensive financial industry experience which includes senior roles with international banks such as BNZ and ANZ.

He has been the CEO of HFC since July, 2008 and during his tenure, was responsible for the conversion of HFC from a credit institution to a commercial bank in 2014.

This has been challenging and rewarding as well and historic for Fiji as HFC Bank is now the only commercial bank that is fully locally owned.

Mr Tikoduadua said with his successor, the bank would continue to grow into a bigger and better operation.

HFC Bank’s chairman, Tom Ricketts, extended his sincere appreciation to the outgoing CEO for his dedication and hard work over the years and particularly for converting HFC into a commercial bank.

“Mr Munn brings to HFC Bank a breadth and depth of experience in commercial and retail banking plus financial markets. He has held senior positions with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) in New Zealand, Australia and Vietnam.

“CBA is the No.1 bank in Australia. He is not new to Fiji and has had past experience with the banking industry here from 2005-2007 as the general manager of Colonial National Bank.

“Mr Munn is a very experienced banker and has had notable achievements across all the countries where he has led successful teams and has grown the business in challenging economies.

“He brings with him specialist experience across all areas of banking and will certainly contribute to the banking industry and Fiji’s economy, and take HFC Bank to greater heights.”

Mr Ricketts said HFC Bank was grateful to Mr Tikoduadua for his tremendous contribution over the years and wished his successor, Mr Munn, all the best for the next step in this journey.
