SUN Insurance Company Ltd has appointed Monica Aguilar as its head of Legal and company secretary and Helena Ting as the assistant company secretary.
Ms Aguilar is a qualified solicitor with more than six years’ experience spanning the legal and media industries.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and legal studies, and an MBA from Indonesia.
She has been with Sun Insurance for the past eight months.
Ms Ting is pursuing her bachelor’s degree at the University of the South Pacific at present and has accumulated more than eight years of valuable experience in secretarial work and property management.
Sun Insurance chairman Padam Lala said they were enthusiastic about these appointments, with Ms Aguilar having demonstrated exceptional dedication and expertise in her role, and Ms Ting having a diverse background and ongoing education that made her a strong asset to the company’s administrative team.
“We are excited to promote from within and appoint Monica and Helena to these key roles,” Mr Lala said.
“Their internal growth reflects our commitment to nurturing talent within the organisation.
“It also sends a clear message to our staff that as long as they perform well, there are no limits to their career progression.”
Mr Lala said the company’s focus on developing internal talent to seize new opportunities and adapt to an ever-changing industry landscape.
