THE Housing Authority of Fiji has appointed Isikeli Navuda as its new chief executive officer.

Mr Navuda is not new to the institution and comes with more than 30 years of management experience in the organisation, having served as acting CEO for 18 months.

He also served as general manager Lending Operations, general manager Land & Housing Development and manager Land Acquisition.

Housing Authority board chairperson Sereana Qoro welcomed Mr Navuda, and said his appointment had come at a time where the institution needed a competent and experienced leader with the ability to build a management team that was focused on the urgent delivery of residential lots and affordable homes.

“We have a very demanding delivery target and we need a CEO who understands the urgency and has the ability to drive the management team, address operational efficiencies and achieve the delivery timelines for residential lots and ready built homes,” Ms Qoro said.

Mr Navuda expressed enthusiasm for the role and said: “It is an honour to lead the Housing Authority during this season.”

“I look forward to working with the management team, Housing Ministry and all stakeholders to accelerate the delivery of affordable housing solutions for our families,” he said.

Ms Qoro said the authority remained committed to fulfilling its mandate to provide affordable Housing, which strategically aligned with the policies of the Ministry of Housing.

Mr Navuda’s appointment comes into effect on October 1.
