More rooms for 4-star hotel

VISION Group-owned DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Fiji on Sonasali Island will be adding another thirty-two rooms to its four-star property.

Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa’s cluster general manager Carey Osborne said this at the AHICE Fiji Investment in Tourism Summit media session in Nadi on Friday.

Ms Osborne said hotel proprietor Vision Group has engaged the architecture and interior designer of the rooms.

“It will be more of a traditional hotel style rooms with the bures which is our most popular room type,” she said.

“So, the project is quite early in the works. However, there has been indication that they are looking into activate as quickly as they are able to.”

She said the confidence from the Hilton Hotel Fiji owned properties was high.

“It’s a completely different experience. A short three-minute boat ride, serenity and tranquility straight away.

“With sunset cruises and horse rides on the beach and having bures which is a bit more of a traditional property.”
