POLICE have taken in more individuals for questioning as investigations continue into alleged online harassment targeting officials of the Ba Football Association.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that a 40-year-old man from Ba had been questioned by Police.

“One man has been questioned and investigations continue,” Naisoro said.

The development follows an earlier report where Police in Tavua questioned a government doctor after a complaint was lodged.

The investigation follows a complaint lodged by Ba FA president Praneel Dayal regarding alleged fake online accounts used to harass Ba FA executives and players.

Earlier, Fiji FA chief executive Mohammed Yusuf issued a strong warning to individuals spreading false or misleading information online.

Yusuf stressed that the integrity of the game must be protected and warned that anyone found circulating defamatory content would face strict disciplinary and possible legal consequences.

“Fiji FA remains committed to safeguarding the integrity of football in our country. We urge all stakeholders to rely on official communication channels and to refrain from sharing unverified information,” Yusuf said.

Police confirmed investigations into the matter are continuing.
