AMIT Prasad and Elizabeth Moceiwai of Suva Bowls finished on top of the 2025 Bred Bank–sponsored Victor Clarke tournamentwhich wrapped up last weekend in Lautoka delivering a weekend of strong competition and surprise results.
Amit claimed the men’s singles title after defeating Lautoka’s Yusuf Khan in the final. The men’s competition saw several upsets, with tournament favourites bowing out early in the elimination rounds.
Quarter-finalists included David Aitcheson, Munesh Kumar , Dan Vinod, Amit Prasad, Surend Prasad, Yusuf Khan, Simon Ratnam, and Semesa Naiseruvati. Amit went on to beat David Aitcheson in the semifinal, while Yusuf edged out Simon Ratnam to book his spot in the final.
In the women’s singles, Moceiwai lifted the title after overcoming Bowls Lautoka’s Benau Bennion in the final.
The semi-final lineup featured Elizabeth, Aki Khan, Benau, and Dinusha Chandima, with both finalists reaching the gold-medal match for the first time in the singles competition.
Games controller David Bennion praised the overall turnout and the level of play displayed throughout the tournament.
“It was a good competition with a wonderful turnout from all bowlers,” he said.
The strong participation and fresh faces in the finals capped off what was a successful and competitive 2025 tournament.
