Moce Cricket team is showing their dominance in the 2025 National Easter Cricket Tournament, having already won two matches without a loss.

In their first match, they defeated Nadi by 41 runs and followed it up with a victory over Lakeba 1 by 18 runs.

The team’s success has been attributed to the hard work and dedication of the players, most of whom are from Suva and attend university. One player even traveled from Lau to participate in the competition.

Team manager Ilai Malawaci expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, especially considering the tough competition they faced in their pool games.

“It has been a good week so far for the boys, winning both of our pool games,” said Malawaci.

“In our first game Nadi was unbeaten in their pool, so winning against them was a great achievement for the boys, and getting our second win against Lakeba 1 was the topping of the cake.

“Most of the boys are from Suva, they are schooling in university, and we have one that came all the way from Lau, to participate in this competition.”
