Moana Pasifika will end its Super Rugby Pacific journey after the 2026 season, following a difficult decision announced by the franchise today.
The club said financial, operational and strategic challenges have made it no longer sustainable to continue competing at this level of professional rugby.
Chair Dr Kiki Maoate said the decision was heartbreaking, but praised the efforts of players, staff and supporters over the past five years.
She said the focus now is to ensure a smooth transition for those affected while finishing the 2026 season strongly.
