THE annual Seventh-day Adventist Pathfinders children’s fair aims to spread hope to youths struggling with drug addiction.

Fiji Mission Youth director Senitiki Waqa said while the annual event usually celebrates youth achievement, this year’s fair will also be focused on addressing critical social issues.

“Part of the Pathfinders curriculum is to address youth challenges, such as social media abuse, peer pressure, and drugs,” Mr Waqa explained.

“Today (Friday) we marched through town to share hope with young people who may be struggling. The message is simple: you are not alone.”

He encouraged youths to seek help and support from church groups, NGOs, parents, or youth pastors.

“The biggest gift we can give anyone is to remind them that help is there. God is there, always, to assist us through trials and burdens.”

This marks the first march of the year in Suva, with Pathfinders planning to hold similar events across the nation.
