THE Education Ministry remains committed to improving the quality of education across the country, says Minister Aseri Radrodro.
He told the Natabua High School prefect induction on Friday, that the Coalition Government continued to support and provide for the ministry.
“We continue to provide free education grants with the $200 back-to-school assistance with free textbooks,” he said.
“The boarding grants, the transport assistance, including bus fares, to ensure education is accessible to all students.
“In addition, the Tertiary Scholarship and Loan Scheme (TSLS) has made tertiary education a reality for many of our students. And the ministry has also reinstated school chaplains at 13 government schools, which includes Natabua High School, to provide emotional and spiritual support to students.
“This initiative is part of the Government’s broader strategy to support our students and prepare them for a successful future.”
He said over the past three years he has met heads of school to review their roles and identify weaknesses in schools.
“Building up on our strength and discussing how we can address the growing demands and challenges in the education sector,” he said.
