Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Mosese Bulitavu, led a government team to Naqiliso Settlement in Davuilevu today to deliver assistance to eight families affected by recent flooding.
The visit forms part of ongoing disaster response efforts aimed at supporting communities impacted by severe weather.
Affected households received essential Non-Food Items, ncluding shelter kits, tarpaulins, kitchen sets, wash and hygiene kits, 20-litre water containers, sleeping mats, blankets, mosquito nets and solar lanterns.
Mr Bulitavu also met directly with families to assess their immediate needs and assure them of continued government support during the recovery phase.
The Government acknowledged the disruption caused by the flooding and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring timely and coordinated assistance.
Residents in the area have been affected by flooding in recent weeks.
