The Republic of the Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) has released tender documents for the design of a new Joint Logistics Command Precinct that will be constructed on Nabua’s Bayview Rd.

The tender documents reveal the aim of the new facility for the RFMF is to build and strengthen security.

“The aim of this project is to provide the Joint Logistics Command with the necessary infrastructure to implement the Automated Logistics Management System (ALMS) and conduct all necessary operations to enable the land and naval forces,” states the tender document.

“Noting requirements for project management, design services and other associated costs (including contingency), the works should be able to be delivered within a construction budget of $50,000,000 ± 10 per cent (exclusive of VAT).”

The double-storey building will house offices, a warehouse storage, maintenance shed, gymnasium, canteen, lecture room, catering school and a hard court.

“The intended capacity of the Joint Logistic Command facilities is for 70 personnel.

“The future projected capacity requirement is for 100 plus personnel. The designs are to allow for the future projected numbers.”

The RFMF was allocated a total of $169.6million in the 2024-2025 budget.
