A new champion was crowned in the HBK Vulaca tournament on Saturday with Mid-Central scooping the men’s title.
Laced with several national reps who recently competed at the Pacific Games, the team defeated 2023 champions Suva by three straight sets.
Mid Central was taken to the wire in the first set but eventually came out with a score of 25-22.
Their experience proved too much for the Suva side as they swiftly took out the second and third set by 25-18 and 25-13.
Both teams will feature in the Vana Challenge later this month.
Suva women managed to defend their title, beating Mid Central by three sets to one.
