Meth seized in coordinated raids across Suva, Nadi and Lautoka

Drugs believed to be methamphetamine with a street value of close to $1 million was seized in multiple raids early yesterday morning, sources have confirmed to The Fiji Times.

The raids were carried out in Suva, Nadi and Viseisei, Lautoka.

Police arrested Asian nationals, all of whom are women in the Suva and Lautoka raids.

Yesterday, Fiji Police said the multiple joint raids were conducted by the Fiji Police Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Department (SOCID), Fiji Detector Dog Unit (FDDU), Police Mobile Force and Fiji Immigration Department.

Police added also seized were large sums of foreign and local currencies.
