Lautoka Rugby Union will face Naitasiri in today’s Farebrother challenge with extra motivation after completing community work at St Thomas Primary School in Lautoka.
The Maroons helped the school by installing seven solar lights, a gesture that has been warmly welcomed by the school community.
School chairman Sakiusa Takirua said the project was a big boost.
“One of Lautoka Rugby Union’s projects was to install seven solar lights, and the school was fortunate enough to receive their support.
“We are glad and thankful for this partnership. They use our ground for training, and in return they have installed these solar lights. They even brought in their own men to do the work,” Takirua said.
From the classrooms to the playing field, the students and staff are rallying behind Lautoka, sending their best wishes ahead of the big match.
“From the students and management of St Thomas Primary School, we wish Lautoka Rugby the very best against Naitasiri, and we hope they will bring back the Farebrother trophy to Lautoka.”
With the community behind them, Lautoka will step into the Farebrother challenge today with both pride and purpose.
