Leilbling Marlow, Fiji’s first Hibiscus Queen, received a cordial visit at Suva’s Pierce Home from Melania Tora, the current queen and her fellow Hibiscus Festival sisters, Pepe Melani and Martina Sigrah.
In addition to honouring the senior citizens, this event emphasised the value of their contributions to society.
This year’s International Day of Older Persons theme is “Human rights across generations”.
